Family
For many, if not all of my teenage years I was very secretive and reserved when it came to sharing my emotions with my parents. I felt like I was best to go things alone and forgot that they had most likely lived a lot of the things I was living. But the idea of opening up and expressing disappointment or heartache made me feel vulnerable. I was worried that I would be perceived as weak.

A smile costs nothing.
I was given a very special gift for my birthday this year. It is of no monetary worth, but truly is invaluable. It was a poem. The poem is titled “A smile costs nothing”.
I read the poem and I urge you to do the same. And I started pondering a few things. Firstly, it reminded me that the gift of making someone smile is the greatest. To make someone laugh, even greater. And this should be the aim...

Nothing good happens after 2am
Such a simple mantra and one that never fails to hold true. But sadly, by the time 2am rolls around, you are rolling around. And are oblivious to the destruction going on around you.
I recently had a few afternoon beers at a mates new apartment before heading to my cousins birthday. I had cricket the next day and knew I had to be sensible. So I set an alarm on my phone to go off at 1am saying ‘Go...
Popping the cherry
Seems odd to be popping my cherry at 28, but people are starting to talk. And scheme.
So I thought it best to end the rumours and get involved.
Over the coming year, and 10 days, I will shed light in to my journey towards 30. The role that my amazing friends play, what influence my family has and the interesting new people who cross my path.
Stay tuned for life changing moments. Earth...
